Pitch

I pulled together my ideas into a pitch and presented them to my peers so that I could get some feedback on what they thought of my ideas, as I wanted their feedback seeing as they were all familiar with the brief. When it comes to actually being in an industry a pitch is important as it allows a company to find investors, attract some potential co-founder or even to recruit new employees. However, essentially I did my pitch to present and fine tune my idea.

Audience Profile

 I made an audience profile as it is a reliable method of gathering crucial ideas and insights about your general target audience in a way where it is clear and easy to read. It helped me define my audience clearly in a way that it was easy to come back to and clear to read.

Target Audience Survey

In this post I will talk about my target audience and a survey I did at the beginning of this project to try and get a more detailed look at who my target audience is specifically. Getting their feedback was important before the pre-production stage as it meant that I could alter my original ideas to help look at what I could specifically include in my documentary in order to educate my target audience about my topic of choice (which is activism and how it now has begun to take place online/how the approach to activism has changed over the past decade.) By finding out more specifc factors about my target audience such as specific demographics (age, gender) and some psychographics (their interests and what they spend their time doing) this has effecitvely helped my narrow down my idea to what I specifically want to do as the topics that the audience are already aware of will have appear less in my documentary than the issues my audience have claimed they know little/nothing about.  ...
