360 Degree Camera Experimentation

Image
I had wanted to do some experimentation with different pieces of hardware so that I had some options with what I could record my documentary with so I had then done some experimentation with a 360 degree camera. I had recorded two videos with this and I had originally finished two different edits however when I had went to include both of the edits however only one could be included as the second edit had corrupted during the exporting process and I was unable to recreate it in time.

Consent Forms

To ensure I had proof that the people I included in my documentary gave their consent when it came to working with me, I had made them fill out consent forms so they couldn't suddenly change their mind when it came to being included in my documentary.

Script

To ensure that I had a clear understanding of how I wanted my scenes to play, I made sure to make a basic script. It was short as there wasn't many changed in scenery and my video is fairly basic so there wasn't a need for it to be long and extensive.  I used Celtx to make my script so it matched the professional script format.

StoryBoard

I created a Storyboard as it was a vital part of the planning process. It gave me a visual representation of how I wanted my video to play out, scene by scene as well as having some small notes on how I wanted to include a voiceover behind my documentary. It wasn't done well in terms of the art however it gets the point across so I'm happy with it.

Paperwork

I did this task to make it easier for myself when it came to the production stage as filling out this paperwork ensured that I knew where I was recording, when I was supposed to be recording and that I had permission to be recording where I was going to record (which for me, was on campus.)

Pitch Correction

After the initial feedback I had gotten on my pitch I then went on to change my pitch according to the feedback I had gotten, adding more information such as the structure/fonts etc that I was planning on using for my documentary.

Pitch Feedback Analysis

In this post I will be going over the feedback that I had gotten from doing my pitch in front of my peers. I did this survey not only to get feedback on my actual pitch but to also get feedback on the pitch itself so that I could make corrections to it as part of my problem solving. First I began by asking the audience questions about my pitch itself as this felt like the most important questions, mainly because my pitch was still fresh in their minds when they were taking the survey so I wanted them to be able to give me accurate feedback with this in mind. Seeing as those taking the survey were all within my target audience I figured that I should ask if they actually enjoyed the ideas I showed in my pitch as if they didn't enjoy my ideas I would have to change them so they fit the likes of my target audience but thankfully the unanimous vote was that my audience enjoyed the ideas that were pitched to them. I then went on to ask if they felt my idea was suitable for both the clie
